Prioritise purity in anaerobic digestion
The Dominator Depackaging Machine separates food waste, creating an organic soup with is 99.939% pure – boosting the efficiency of anaerobic digestion.
If you’re running an Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plant, you’ll already know that much of the commercial and residential food waste we generate can’t be accepted straight into the process but requires the separation or removal of outer waste packaging first. The Dominator Depackaging machine performs this separation so you can reuse the waste to produce energy, but how effective this process is, both environmentally and commercially, relies on the yield of biogas you can produce.
At Rowan Food and Biomass Engineering, we’re experienced in working with multiple AD plants across the world, and have prioritised purity in the design of our depackaging machine.
If you're not already thinking about the purity of your recovered waste, you should be.
When building a processing line for source separated organics (SSO), the decision making often focusses on the type of depacker to use – specifically a hammermill machine, or a paddle machine. The ease of use, maintenance, and upfront costs are typically forefront of mind, however the downstream impacts on the quality of your output, and the knock-on effect this has to your efficiency, should not be overlooked.
Paddle machines, such as the Dominator, preserve a high-quality output as they use gentle agitation for separation.
But that doesn’t mean that all paddle machines are the same, or produce the same quality organic soup.
